Malaga is perhaps best known as the place where the main airport for Andalucía region of Spain is, but there is more to Malaga and finding a hotel Malaga style is becoming the thing to do as part of your Southern Spain experience.

Getting to Malaga
Malaga has a very busy and seemingly ever expanding airport which is just 7km from the centre. Taxis will cost around €10-14 depending on your final location. A great cheap method of getting to the city centre is the Fuengirola-Malaga train which runs ever half and hour in is under a couple of Euros for the single trip. The journey is quick and the station is around a 20-minute walk from the centre.

One of the best climates in Europe, if not the best, the January temperatures are a mild 15 degrees Celsius, while in the summer breezes from the coast make the heat of the sun tolerable. With low rainfall, this is a great place to visit all around the calendar.

Whilst historically Malaga was avoided as simple a means to an end as a transport hub, the accommodation options are improving continually with many modern style hotels.
