When it comes to owning property in places other than your native country, it can be a difficult decision. On the one hand you are scared about the issues with ownership and the legal entity that will hold title to your property. Yet, you also really want to ‘own’ that piece of paradise and have a place to call your own. There are other options for you to consider. You can also investigate time shares and similar types of ‘rental’ properties.

Once you are confident that you can afford to own real estate in another country, then you can proceed with finding the right place for you. One place to investigate is Nicaragua. Nicaragua real estate is quickly becoming one of those darling places to explore as both an investment property or vacation home. Most notably is a place called San Juan del Sur.

This area is known for its absolutely gorgeous sunsets and a nice little port town with a fishing community. San Juan del Sur real estate is really one of those quintessential little fishing towns.

If you are into recreational outdoor pursuits, then you will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of activities available in this area. There is a sustainable attitude that exists as well. For the water lovers, there is a nice surf that can be had at the right times of year as well. The water is as blue as you would want it to be and the people are as warm and friendly as the skies.

Sometimes, there are just places that speak to you. When you visit San Juan del Sur, you’ll probably find that it says a lot. Again, it is up to your temperament and desirability to own real estate in another country where the native language may be other than your first.
