You’ll find that the smaller boutique type hotels typically offer you the best value for your money. Sure the Marriott’s and Radisson’s are nice, but you definitely pay a premium for that brand name when booking a Thailand hotel. Stick with the smaller places and you’ll get the same amenities and many of the same services without the huge premium that you would pay for a brand name hotel. Most hotels in Bangkok, even the smaller ones, provide swimming pools, fitness rooms, business centers, laundry, high speed internet access and many other services and amenities.
Thailand is an amazing destination with a rich culture and history. Combine that with the friendly hospitality of the Thai people and the relative inexpensiveness of the country and you have a perfect vacation spot for a memorable experience.
